"Hiraodai" is designated as a natural monument, national park, and prefectural natural park.

"Hiraodai" is designated as a natural monument, national park, and prefectural natural park. It is one of the top 3 Karsts of Japan, with an altitude of 300 to 700 meters, 6km long north to south, and 2km east to west. Limestone can be found everywhere, making this a favorite trekking area, with rock formations that look like lions and others looking like people kissing. There is even a tree growing straight out of a limestone.
